The H/T Family permit is intended for a family member who is permanently residing with a current Capital University Student in University owned housing, and is utilizing a vehicle in addition to the vehicle of the student. This permit is only available to family members of current students.
The Family Parking Permit is for parking for family member who is permanently residing with a current Capital University Student in University owned housing.
If only bringing one vehicle to campus, regardless of whether the vehicle is registered to the student or the family member, the full priced student permit must be purchased first.
The Family Permit is only for additional vehicles.
Each vehicle brought to campus must have a valid permit.
1) The family member STUDENT has to pay the total amount ($200 online, $220 at the Finance Office) to register his/her vehicle.
2) The family member student has to register the first family members’ vehicle for $100 (On line registration under Family Permit).
3) The family member student has to register any additional vehicles at no cost, by stopping at CUPD, 8:30 am – 4 pm (M-F).
Very important information the student needs to know:
1) The graduate/adult student has to register all of family members’ vehicles.
2) The family member student should explain all parking rules and regulations to family members operating vehicles on campus, See current Parking Regulations on the Public Safety Page on the Capital University Website
3) The student is responsible for all parking violations committed by their family members.
4) Any vehicle impounded for parking violations or any other infractions of the law, will be towed at the owner’s expense.
5) Capital University shall assume no liability or responsibility for theft, damage, or loss that may occur during use of parking facilities or services. Individuals choosing to park at Capital University do so at their own risk. Damage due to, misuse or defacing of Capital University property or facilities is prohibited and subject to citation and/or criminal prosecution.
