Parking Permits for the 2020-2021 school year are available for purchase annually beginning on July 1, at 10:01am
Capital Commons residents may purchase a D parking permit and park in any legally marked space that encircles the Capital Commons apartments.
Purchased permits may be picked-up at the Public Safety Office located on the corner of College Ave. and Mound St. from 8am 4pm M-F. PERMITS WILL NOT BE MAILED. Please be prepared to present valid ID(Capital ID or Driver's License) upon pickup
The "D" lot is also available to First-Year students by special permission only.
The Capital University Police Department operates 24hrs/day, 7 Days/week, 365 days/year in order to assist you.
Please read the "University Parking Regulations" (found online on the Capital University Website) for other restrictions or qualifications.

If applying for a First-Year exception please provide proof of least one of the following qualifications to be considered for a "D" Permit: 1) Provide proof of a medical situation that warrants special consideration 2) Have nursing clinicals 3) Have student teaching 4) Have an internship required by their course work 5) Off campus Observations (15 or more each semester) 6) Have regularly scheduled off campus weekday employment of three (3) days or more Monday through Thursday. Proof of employment must be provided by the student in the form of a letter on company letterhead stating: Days and approximate hours to be worked. Name and phone number of supervisor for employment verification. ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE APPLYING FOR A PERMIT PLEASE ALLOW FOUR (4) BUSINESS DAYS TO VERIFY AND EVALUATE SUBMITTED MATERIALS. Documentation can be scanned and emailed to publicsafety@capital.edu or mailed to Capital University Public Safety Department 661 College Ave Bexley Ohio 43209. Documents may also be dropped-off in-person at this address. Documents can be faxed to 614 236-7111. A sophomore with weekend employment (Friday-Sunday) will be eligible for O lot parking only.
